TV/Film & SFX Makeup Training (TVFX) is a course designed to train students to the highest level of practical education available and is aimed at students who wish to specialise and work within the TV/Film and Theatrical industry. You will receive thorough training and advanced practical skills and knowledge in the following area:

• TV & Film makeup application
• Straight men’s makeup application
• SFX makeup i.e. burns – bruising – bullet wounds entry & exit – sweat – drugs - death
• Bald cap making and application
• Small prosthetic application
• Theatrical makeup application
• Aging
• False hair application
• Beard – moustache – sideburn application
• Preparing hair under a wig
• Wig application
• Hair-up
• Eyebrow block-out
• Wardrobe
• Props
• Portfolio building

This 4/6 month program opens a series of opportunities for the student. These are:

• Possible work experience whilst training
• Blazing Sables Agency placement. Only available to the most outstanding students
• Possible work placement after completion of your advanced course
• After graduation help and support

Fees & Details

Entry Level Specialist 8 day course: Fee £895
Advanced Specialist 6 month course: Fee £9,500

These courses are run every Saturday & Sunday 10am to 4pm plus 2 evenings per week or every Saturday or Sunday plus 2 evenings per week 6pm to 9pm. Evening days to be confirmed.
